This one has a funny story. The girlfriend of one of my best friends commissioned me to do a digital painting for his birthday. Earlier that year they went to Germany to climb the Zugspitze. They were well prepared and were making good progress. Reaching a higher elevation they encountered a fellow hiker who did not bring the required gear to traverse the icy parts of the track. My friends decided to take the fella with them and bind him in. Sadly the fella slipped on the ice and dragged everyone down a cliff. They slid for several tens of meters until they lost enough velocity to come to a stop. Now they were drenched and in a position that was difficult to get out off. Luckily nobody was badly hurt but the the temperatures were dropping as the sun was setting. It became clear they were not going to get back down the mountain safely before dark and were forced to call a rescue helicopter. They did not reach the top that day but they are going back to for a second attempt. Hopefully this time with a bit more fortune.
