Have you ever gone bouldering outside? I have met many people who walked different paths in their development in climbing. Myself, I started in a bouldering gym. I was hooked from the start, yet it took me a few years until I first went bouldering outdoors. Coming from the Netherland with a tremendous lack of natural rock to climb, it was a mystical idea to try the “real thing”. Visiting Fontaine Blue for the first time was a magical experience. Camping with my friends, Drinking some fresh brew while lounging on a hijacked crash pad, watching people slip of 5c,s. Just glorious. This piece resembles the typical experience of making your way to the crag early in the morning. Can you relate?
